SPL - Lafferty hopes to rediscover touch

Alternating between a striker and midfielder since signing for Rangers from Burnley for a fee in excess of £3 million in 2008, Lafferty has scored just twice in 28 games this season, both in the 6-1 home win over Motherwell in December.

Lafferty was involved in some controversy in Sunday's win over Celtic at Ibrox when he was involved in a tangle with Scott Brown which led to the Hoops` skipper being sent off.

The Ulsterman, though, is hoping to make the headlines again for the right reasons in Light Blue, after doing so in the green of Northern Ireland.

"The Rangers pressure is off me when I'm with Northern Ireland so I'm determined to get back on the goal trail this week," he said. "It's been a tough season for me but I think I've grown in confidence over the last month.

"I know I haven't scored as much as I would like to and obviously I would love to find the back of the net more often. But as long as I'm making a contribution to the team and the team are winning then that's all that matters."
